What do you guys think? How will these look for "dailies?" They are the OEM kind, but different color.

They do look like the stock design without the OEM paint scheme. I think they would be fine for daily drivers and keep the BOSS look. Any real weight difference ?

I would go for those as I don't think I could handle the red painted wheels day in and day out.

I would leave it alone personally. It's what makes it a LS! Looks great IMO.

Yeah, but I don't see a point in running around in R-compounds for street driving when I'm not at the track (plus the Pirelli's are very expensive). I can get wheels and tires for less than a set of Pirelli's for daily drivers. I agree it's what makes it a Boss, so maybe I will use the wheels I buy for the track.

Ya that would be a better idea. Get some lighter track wheels and throw those R compound tires on it. Then buy some cheaper DD tires and throw them on the OEM's.

Yeah, use the new wheels for the track.

This would be my suggestion as well. :thumbsup2:

Suggest you contact Peter at Wheel Experts. He carries lots of different wheels. My guess is that he can come up with some choices that will meet your needs and fit your budget.

On the other hand, you know the OEM Ford wheels will work, and you can bet that they are plenty strong (assuming you're not looking at replicas).

Yeah, I'm with Cal on this one. For some reason the thought of spending 4k (or more) one wheels is not that appealing to me. It's not like saving 4lbs a wheel is going to make that much difference for me on my times!

Don't know if they make oz for your application but you can get those for the track with tires for 3500.

Thanks Derek. Actually, quite a few people are marketing wheels that are low pressure cast and then flow formed. The resulting wheel can approach forged wheel strength and weight at a much lower cost. Here's a video that shows the flow forming process (for both a cast wheel and a forged blank).

Any similar wheel, without all the red will look tons better.
Or you could always go with a baller chrome lipped wheel and make your car faster. :D

if you get the right offsets, enki PF01 will fit the Boss cars. the black ones look good, not sure if they have 19's though. they make some nice lightweight track wheels, for that matter the tsw nurburgring wheels will clear brembo's too in 18" giving you more track tire options. as for nice tires that will fit your 19's, the hankook ventus v12 Evo k110 come in the sizes those LS wheels need and they are cheap at 230-ish each. from what i've read the grip as well or better than the pzero nero summer compound tires that came on my Boss 302.

I say keep the red wheels and buy another set of them. The wheel is one of the things that make it an LS. I plan on buying another set of red ones, if you are interested maybe we can get a package deal.

The OEM's look great on the car, but damn those things are boat anchors...The GT500 PP wheels are just as bad though...Makes me wonder what non-PP GT500 wheels weigh...:turtle:

all i know is i saw (one of) you on the tollway this weekend, (still had the temporary plates on it) and it looked so sick. i would def do what they recommended, get some wheels for track, since you may be daily driving the car more, and those wheels kind of define that car.
