A few of us are heading to Texas World Speedway (TWS) for the weekend of 6/6 & 6/7 to have some track time on the fast course there. DE is running the event and we will be running the 2.9 mile road course. This is supposed to be the fastest road course in our area so if you want to join MikeCLKBlack and me please feel free to follow the link below and sign up. We need a few BMWs to come along and watch the big V8 MBs run away from them.:D

Link to registration. http://www.thedriversedge.net/02_tracks.htm

Hope to see you on the track!

Mike

Bad part is most or several have signed up for the Apex DE at MSR. I would have preferred this deal here. More speed is good. Gonna go to the next one.

What better way to celebrate your birthday than driving the M3 around TWS at 150 mph!!!!

Just got back from TWS and we had a blast there! The KW V3s rock on the C63. It's like a whole new beast out on the track!:D

The morning runs were the best each day as by late afternoon it was 100+.

We got some good pics, some in car videos and some Vbox logging done. Overall a good weekend for MikeCLKBlack, Mike's friend Corey and Me. I got some good tips from my instructor and definitely improved on the TWS 2.9 over the weekend!

There was a stock C63 that Mike parked next to today, the car looked like it was ready for an off road adventure it looked so high compared to Mike's.

Yeah, it was a huge difference seeing the cars side by side! Obviously mine looked much better! :D

I bet. I saw it up at Autoscope on Friday. Wish I could get some coilovers without losing my EDC.

I have a stock black turbo spoiler. Get your red one painted and fixed and you can have my extra.

I agree, but I know of a couple advanced guys who don't want a pic of them "off" track.

I forgot to tell you I bought a cage for the interior of my car. You are so fast that I need to be more stable.

I think I know someone who would be willing to take your car out and beat it into submission the way it was designed to be if you want...

Half rollcage fits behind the seats?

LOL...It's not a she, but I like your style! There was a guy at TWS with a GT3 with paper tags running in Green group that was an absolute shame. While I applaud admitting you have no driving skill, buying a car like that in that situation is just wrong. I would hate being an instructor getting into a car like that when you know the owner has no real skills behind the wheel. Not saying I'm the next Michael Schumacher, but at least I can drive to the level of my car.

That's not saying my car can't be driven better...which is why I've let a few instructors take it out for a session to show me what it's really capable of. Kind of a humbling experience.

If he had paper tags, bet the car hasn't seen enough miles to be considered broken-in for tracking. Schumacher is so yesterday...now its jenson button.

Yep. Yellow too. It's a custom GMG racing RSR cage. Same guys who built my racing (plastic melting) exhaust.

You mean like bigger turbos? I'm gonna lose weight to make up! If I could only start.
