How long does it take for the lube used during installation on the rim?

Since they're 30's the Firestone installer said to wait 24 hours until I beat on it. He commented that it would take that long for the lube to dry out and then the possibility of the wheel spinning inside the tire would be lessened.

True or false?

Thanks Scott, I thought it was strange.
If it was true, you'd probably have to wait a week with the torque you have!

I've never heard that either. I think once the lube dries you're good to go. Did you get some new tires just in time to burn them up at the strip?:burnout:

Vredestein Sessanta's, tomorrow will be a good test. I'm not expecting much though, 280 tread wear rating. Just a bit higher than the 60 on the Corsa's.

Those tires have gotten some good review on the vette forums. I'm curious to hear what you think of them.
