Heard this on the radio:

Drag and Brag (http://texasmotorspeedway.com/blogs/news/archive/2009/05/29/tms-announces-scion-drag-n-brag-program-to-help-metroplex-curb-illegal-street-racing.aspx#18952)

1/8th mile though.

(scion sponsorship too:thumpdown::thumpdown:)

It was on channel 8 news last weekend too. $20 to race, but it looks like an arm-drop-to-run, not a light tree. That is what I saw on the news report.

Why go to TMS when Northstar is just up the street :dontknow:

It takes just a bit longer to drive to the Texas Motorplex down in Ennis, and it is a real track.

Whats the process you must go through in order to participate?

You must pay $20. Then you are qualified.

At Texas Motor Speedway you just pay and line up. I think they are doing just shy of 1/8 mile runs.

At Texas Motorplex in Ennis or Dallas Raceway, these are full 1/4 tracks and you need a helmet if you run quicker than a 13.99 time.

I would pass on the TMS, seems a long way to drive and not know what times you even ran when you are done!

i went the week before, pretty fun until i roasted my clutch on the third run haha

and comparing this casual head to head drag runs to ennis isnt exactly fair. this is really casual and for fun.

besides its $20 and you get to see some pretty cool cars, the sparkplug girls...jesus...they make it worthwhile if you dont race, the brunette...:adore:

Go to a real track. The new 1/4 mile track in Crandall is as good as it gets and it's less than 30 minutes from 635/75.
