I just installed this config:

Hoosier
Radial Wet (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hoosier&tireModel=Radial+Wet)
245/40-18 Front
A6 (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hoosier&tireModel=A6)
345/30-19 Rear

Traction is fantastic... my car made 640 rwhp the last time I dyno'd it and I actually get 2nd gear to hook-up now. I may lower my car a bit to fix the extra clearance.

It's hard to see the spacing in this photo but there is quite a bit between the fender and the tire.

Lots of rubber on the ground tho:

It's June in Texas... and if I have any tread left on these tires by October, you can fire me.

Mark, have did you ever calculate how much your gearing is changed by going to those tires? I'm thinking about giving it a try.

My rough estimate says it would be like going from the stock 3.36 gears to a ~3.60 gear.

I haven't looked into it. I think you would need a wider wheel to put down the tread... but your car could definitely use it. That thing is wicked.
