Scott, it's time to join the BMW CCA if you're not already a member! I got an email from BMW CCA about this event on Tuesday morning. I called right away and they said they were already full for the 2-day event (yesterday and today). So they put me on a waiting list and ended up calling me later that day with an open slot on Thursday. :)

Blake, thank you so much for riding with me! I would have had NO idea how to operate that car without your help and guidance. Too bad we couldn't really rip it. At least we were faster than some of the other guys in our group. :D But after driving the new M3, I have to say that both of my cars suck now. LOL!

Here are a couple of my pix. The first one shows that nice big shark ready and poised to eat my old red M3 for lunch so that I can get a new one. :) And can you see me drooling in the second pic? That is the beast that Blake and I got to take out for a spin. It had 800 miles on it.

Just my opinion, but I still stay the M1 is the finest "looking" product they have ever produced. There is just something non-compromising about it.

Close call on the "Thud", that would be a F105G model and they were known
as the "Thunder Chief". This 2 seater was a Wild Weasel aircraft, anti-aircraft
suppression missions. I was never lucky enough to turn a wrench on these bad boys, but knew many that did!:thumbsup2:

That's right, thanks for the correction. The 104 was a Kelly Johnson design if I recall, sort of a flying dart.

It was a blast, but there was too much traffic to have any fun even if you deviated from the course. :D They said that 3 people had cops follow them all the way back to give them tickets inside the gates. The car is definitely alot more comfortable than my e46.
