Anyone know what the tv race coverage will be? Almost sweaty palm time.

Not sure how much TV coverage there will be, but Speed is offering streaming feeds of a lot of the race.
I think it starts at 7:00am with a pre show and 7:30 with the race till 11:00am then 3:30pm till 9:00pm then 11:00pm till 5:00am.
On SPEED.
Looks like it might continue till 9:00am Sun.
from 11- finish on speed.

I watched from 2 when I got back from the bar till around 4 when I passed out. I have the rest on the PVR, when I have some time ill watch the finish. Last I looked, it seems Audi is about to lose the decade long winning streak...

Puegot routed Audi in P1, Japanese team crashed a Porsche Syder but the other Spyder Essex took P2, Corvettes in GT1, and nothin' but 430's in GT2...good attempts made my Aston Martin
sad to see the factory vette team leaving, but they had nothing but a great run. Also what a way to finish it out by taking 1st in GT1.
I also always love watching the great footage they play of previous Le Mans. The footage of the CLK GTR doing black flips off the track right off the straightaway is always intense.

Even if GM is not running in GT1 anymore.. I can bet there will be a C6R in at least 3 of the top positions!!:thumbsup2:

Ya, it was vette, vette, Aston. the other 3 were dnf.
The porsches in GT2 just had horrible luck. I loved the blue one with it's hazards on for almost the entire night, the guys kept commenting on how good the battery must have been to keep them going that long.
In ALMS, I think vettes are the only thing that even runs in GT1 now...

Back before they installed the chicanes (around '87 ish) and Mulsanne was just a 4 mile ribbon of flat out, there were some real hairy ones. Several got airborn just like airplanes and right into the trees. Not a good place to have your aerodynamics or spoiler setting wrong. Also, back then the armco wasn't as high as now. And now, the flat out speeds aren't so horrific like before. The real iron men were the early 70's when the 917s were running 240 down the straight with very questionable brakes, tires, and handling. Even the very best drivers were very scared of them. I remember Jo Gartner in '86 went over the armco in a 956/962 and into the trees at about 220 and just disintegrated. No one ever knew what happened. It's hard to imagine in '55 when 81 people were killed at one time in the front straight stands when the MB went in. Whew, there's some intense history there alright!

Thats most def. going to be true. Vette will not go anywhere, The factory is leaving but pratt & miller is just focusing elsewhere.
I give the biggest balls award to the guy who've driven le mans back before they changed that slight hill where the merc went airborne.

Well, I'm a little guy but........
The slight hill wasn't an issue....but now the Mulsanne kink was a different thing. Taking a 30 degree curve flat out (215 mph) on about a 20' wide piece of track, lined with trees on both sides, took some real serious talks with myself. It took every bit of a practice session to convince my right foot to stay on the floor!
