There has got to be some serious heat soak with a hot charge of turbo air getting compressed by another super heater called a supercharger.. Not sure I dig this set up.. Be better without the supercharger heating things up..

Your are right, the turbo-supercharger setup has heat issue but it is an unbelievable "puddle-jumper." Big ball out of the hole and it doesn't stop kicking all the way to 240mph. It would only be good for one serious pull then it would need a cool down.

So what that dyno chart tells us is this. He spent 20+ grand making a system that makes about 200-300 more HP in an rpm range that you almost never use, while cooking his charge temps so damn hot that the turbos/oil/motor will be dead after around 3,000 miles. Then, after all that it makes only moderate numbers at the top end. Cars like this just confuse me, it is sad that people get away with selling stuff like this to people.

I disagree about not using the lower RPM range. I think that is where most people drive their cars. I don't know anybody who actually drives around at 5k rpm.

I am not a fan of these systems but I don't care for a turbo setup either.... not sure why this would make you sad, but whatever.

I wish they wouldn't have used one of the all black GT's for this project.

Depends on the design of the engine. I'm only ever below 4,000 until my oil temperature hits 140 and then I'm above 4,000 from then on out :)

Ya, I guess it would be different with a low-rpm V8, in my car I am almost never below 3.5k. It makes me sad because this just feels like wasted R&D when a company like Hennessey could be spending the time getting a dual turbo or all supercharger set up right, or high rpm heads/valve train, and end up with a better product. Instead they try to combine two technologies that have already proven on other applications to work poorly together, seemingly just for the hell of it. It makes me mad for the same reason that Nascar makes me mad. It isn't innovative, it is just old tech rehashed without any thought for the future of the industry.

That is like saying turbo's are old tech. It you don't continue to research and develop technologies they will never get better.

Turbo's are old tech, they have been in constant use since the 1920's. I'm not saying we shouldn't keep improving things we already have, I am saying that a talented shop should be able to do something better than this hodgepodge mix of technologies, and look into designing something that is actually innovative for that platform.

Ideas off the top of my head using old/new tech that are cooler imo than the dumb super/turbocharger...
-Change heads, run lower compression and higher rpm, then go dual turbo high boost. (supra mentality) No lag because your never out of boost.
-Bi-turbo with the new HKS electronic metered boost controllers to stage flow through boost with one smaller and one much larger turbo to help eliminate the wall of thrust. (bmw style) One of the evo time attack teams has this system and it is crazy.
-Variable Vane turbos (porsche style) Awesome technology, it just needs someone in the aftermarket to research it for kit use. A few supra guys are already using it.

The least they could do it make it run on E85 with meth, at least that would help keep things cool.

In any case this is what would happen if I ever drove this car.

Having owned a highly modded car I would never purchase a highly modded car.

You mean chrysler style.. The had this on their late 80's and early 90's Shelby turbo cars.. Shelby Shadow CSX and Spirit RT.. Great concept.
