Karen_M_Topless stopped by today on her way home from Detroit after picking up another BMW; this one, a 1988 model E-30 M3. Clean-clean!

Here is my buddy's e30 that I talked to you about at the meet.

Hey, thanks everybody! I can't believe the power and speed of the Internet -- you guys knew about this before I got home! :)

We made it safely back to TX tonight and fortunately, there was no rain today (lots of rain yesterday from Detroit to Nashville), but I did have an interesting run-in with a TN state trooper just outside of Memphis, so now the car is fully broken in with me and I hadn't even owned it for 24 hours when he stopped me. LOL!! I am thankful that it was only a verbal warning, but I truly believe he was more interested in the car and where it came from (still had the MI plate on and I had to show him all kinds of sales & title paperwork and my temp tag. Sheesh!) than my violation because I wasn't speeding when he pulled me over and then he was trying to tell me that I was following someone too close (he was really grasping here! -- I had no violation!), which I politely explained to him that especially on this trip, I was NOT following anyone too close for fear of rock chips on that nice, perfect front end! LOL! Again, I think he wanted to stop me because of the Michigan plate and the car.

I'll post more pix soon. I might have the car at this Saturday's meet, but then again, I may hold everyone in suspense and debut it at the next Cars & Coffee on 8/29. ;)

Gee, I guess I need to update my signature file now, eh? I'll work on that, too.

I think an E30 M3 is next on my list of cars to own.

Thanks! And hey -- just give me 4 years and the car will be 25 (it will qualify for the special plates!). Then it will be a classic! :)

Thanks anyway, but I'm afraid I would have to have way too much handicap due to my hp embarrassment and elderly driver reaction time!!

:hmmmm2: Well, I would not want to be BANNED! Oh noooooooooo!!! So I might have to reconsider, but ONLY if there is a guarantee of no rain. :D

The most rain this car has ever seen in its whole 21 years was on the drive between Cincy and Nashville on Monday. I tried to avoid it, but Mother Nature just didn't cooperate. For a garage queen and concours prospect, less rain = cleaner engine = less I have to clean. :)
