Saw this on another forum. . . both drivers supposedly survived.

I heard the guy thought he was playing a video game and got pissed at the miata.

From the GT-R board. He is in Boston.

"Thats my home track. The Lotus spun, stalled and was left dead in the track. The MX5 did not see the yellow, and tried to pass. Cost the Lotus driver a broken back, but he is recovering. This was a SCCA race, so anything can happen. You got to watch for that **** or your going to pay."

? For not waving the yellow flag faster? It was waving it for a good 5 seconds. To me, it looks like the Miata guy just wasn't paying attention.

yep, you can clearly see the corner worker waving the yellow. Yet another blemish to Miata drivers...
