Absolutely incorrect.. Methanol lowers iat temps dramatically to help your engine live longer, as a byproduct you pick up power.. This is why stock internal Corvette's are making 800whp and surviving with it and without it they pop at 700... Look at me and Mr Big.. If we did not have methanol, we would of gone boom a while ago..

im familiar with how meth works, i just dont want to deal with any more nonsense associated with this car. im done messing with it and im going to simply drive it now. the thought of jack stands sickens me.

Raza, looks nice. Just need some gauges in your rear view mirror. :)

intercooler and meth arent needed unless you run high boost. at 6psi there wont be much heat differentiation, which is why there is neither. i could always run either one, but we'll see what the temps look like.

Not true... you'll see crazy IAT's even at 6psi, promise... datalog that bad boy, you'll see... of course boost numbers are relative, however I ran only 5.5 psi on my first setup on this car... Compressed air gets HOT... with my oversized FMIC alone I still see 130*+IAT's (still too hot) and with methanol, usually 80* IAT's in summer... just riiiiight...;)

I've heard a ton of good stuff about methanol injection and those blowers give off so much heat. Wanna see how the M5 runs soon with FI. Ralph with the blown E36 M3 just ripped out his vortech supercharger and sent it to GA to get a turbo put on, he took his meth injection out too - said he doesn't want to have to depend on meth injection to keep his motor healthy. Raza, I can see if he is selling his setup incase you are interested.

I'm not sure who makes the s/c for the M5 but I lean toward Raza's view on this. F/I on a BMW is a lot different than domestic cars. Changing something that seems so irrelevant and could only help can easily = a popped motor. Once you pay for a new block from BMW you think more than twice before monkeying with a proven setup.

its to much hassle imo, the 6psi has proven to be reliable based off ess testing so im going to call it a day at 6psi.

ill try to swing by the cars and coffee this saturday.
