I somehow ended up here via the Cars n Coffee forums. Anyway - you guys meet just down the street from where I live every Saturday morning, so I thought I'd come hang. This Saturday will be my first time out.

My current "toy" is a supercharged '99 Miata. It's thoroughly worked-over so I won't list all the mods as I've seen others do in their "hi. i'm new." threads. Suffice to say it makes 220 at the wheels and weights 2100lbs. Not a monster, but a hell of a lot of fun on the track.

Some of my past cars:
2003 C32 AMG (probably would fit in better here if I still had this one)
2002 WRX Stage IV
1991 MR2 Turbo (4th time's a charm)
2000 MR2 Spyder
1991 MR2 Turbo
1986 MR2
Other random cars that don't deserve mention.

Anyway. I look forward to chilling with you guys soon.

Welcome! That's a mean mean Miata! Do you run out at MSR much? I picked my track Enkeis up off of a guy who traded his M3 in for a spec Miata track toy. From what I understand, the track record at MSR is held by a Miata -- Apparently he never touches the brakes :)

That has to be the coolest Miata I have ever seen

That was my last car too, same year even. Still miss it sometimes. 4 doors was nice. :)

He also has over 280whp and is an awesome driver. Gary Shuhart is his name and he is the owner of Track Dog Racing. He helped me plan and build my car. Well - the go-fast parts. He frowns on some of my aesthetic choices :)

I've been out to MSR once - before my car was boosted. It was a ton of fun. Will definitely be back.

Welcome! We look forward to meeting you. And I happen to like your Miata's aesthetic choices. Looks great!

I love those track prepped Miata's... they are heart breakers.
