Just thought I would see what other products some of you all use. I am always looking for something that may work better.

Currently I have been using Zaino. I have also used Tropi-care. Both are excellent products. Tropi-care is easier to use as it is not as many steps, but it is all in the prep work. Both have similar application and removal processes and both work extrememly well.

Anyway, what do you all use, or recommend? And for those of you with painted wheels, what have you found that works the best for you? I have been putting Zaino on mine since it is a painted surface like the rest of the car, but just thought I would see if there is something better.

We have been using Gloss it http://www.gloss-it.net/home.php , our detailer got us hooked on it, I was a zanio fan for the longest time until this came out, the quick detail is amazing...

I was a long time Zaino fan, but I've switched over to carnuba now. I feel it produces more depth to the paint than any of the products like Zaino or gloss it. I use Menzerma polishes and Pinnacle Souverain carnuba wax. It does require much more frequent application than Zaino, but it goes on easily and leaves no white residue or stains on trim. I use wheel wax on the wheels, but Zaino should work fine for that.

Meguiar's products because they are readily available at AutoZone and it gets the job done. Currently using Meguiar's NXT 2.0 Tech Wax on the 996 and Meguiar's ColorX on the M3, both applied w/ PC 7424.

If I had any show cars or true garage queens, then I'd invest the time and money on Zaino.

I have always wondered about a Menzerma vs Zaino comparrison. I don't mind frequent application. When the weather is nice, I usually do two applications a week anyway. I know, it is a bit OCD, but it works for me. LOL

I'd be happy to discuss the differences between the two options. I'm as OCD as it gets about my cars. My wife will attest to it as I hand wash at least twice a week. The Menzerma polishes produce amazing results on the German paint when applied with a PC. The Souverain is the easiest wax I have ever applied and the depth it gives dark paint is simply amazing.:thumbsup2:

I did not even mention a bunch of the off the shelf products I have. There is a difference in the quality of product and the finish it leaves on the car.

I prefer carnuba wax also. I just use Mothers wax on my GT. The trim parts can be tricky but the end result is worth it in my opinion.

note: as carnuba is actually a wax and extremely sensitive to heat, I usually apply it by rubbing my hand in the can and use my hand to 1) heat the wax so it will seep into the pours of the paint 2) apply pressure adequate to get the wax into a all the crevice. This is a trip my father learned in the military with regard to polishing shoes. ;)

I have seen and heard a lot of people hand applying the carnuba like that. Great tip man.

That GT is incredible by the way. You were at the meet Saturday morning and then the Sunday one at The Filling Station right? Very sweet ride man.

Klasse here, Polish than Gloss Sealant.

Klasse is one of my favorite sealants. I will also sometimes apply Klasse All In One and then alppy carnauba wax on top of it. This gives the longer term protection of a sealant with the depth of carnauba.

Yeah I've been using Meguires since the late 80's when I worked in fiberglass shop and they used it. So I tried it on my M/Cycle at the time and thought it did a great job. (The plastic panels were faded bad and it made them look like new again) They actually use it on the fibreglass molds to release the product. I think it has canauba wax in it?

What do you guys use on your interiors to preserve the leather from the Texas sun and keep it supple? (And the plastic/vinyl?)

For me Leather = Zaino's "Z-10 Leather in a Bottle".

Plastic/vinyl = 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium and/or 1Z Einszett Plastic Vinyl Deep Cleaner.

Leatherique is my leather treatment choice. Vinyl depends on the look you prefer, but I'd lean toward 303 or Einzett Cockpit Premium.

I've become a real fan of Meguiar's products, easy to find, don't cost a lot, and they do amazing work.

I use Poorboy's EX-P Sealant.

It goes on easy enough, and I think it leaves a durable long lasting shine/protection, however it can be a PITA to remove completely. I find myself removing patches of wax haze from the car up to 2 washes later.
