I'm with you. They need to take the concept out of it and make it look more like a production vehicle. It's a little too much of everything as it is now.

I'm almost positive that they never put 396's in Corvettes though. 327, 350, 427 were the only options I believe.

In 1965 they introduced the big block Corvette with a 396 and Disc brakes. Darn, I'm actually old enough to remember it.

Those are HOT!
I would much rather prefer a modern LS series motor of todays corvettes than the old v8s of the 60's and 70's.. They make way more power per cubic inch than the old heavy big blocks did.. and they are an aluminum small block today.. The lightest V8's in production!

That's true about the weight, but each has it's advantages and disadvantages. The modern aluminum engine will win out :)

They only used the 396 in 1965 and it had 425hp. And it was a Corvette (C2). ;)

That vette should be the car for the Joker in the next Batman movie. The front end looks like the Joker's mouth.
