Nice car, it looks clean. Blue is the fastest color so that works to your advantage.

That's only if Black gets away from you. ;)

Nice Firehawk. I had always wanted one back when I had Firebirds, but was never able to do the wait when I was ready to buy.

Have you seen this one with the CF interior?
I didn't know they made CF inside for Firehawk until I saw this:

No I didn't but it would look very tacky with my interior since everything is tan and grey rather than the black... I just accept that my interior is ugly I try to focus on keeping the engine running well and worry about interior mods after I get everything under the hood running well. That carbon looks good on the black car though.

Pic of what my interior looks like attached

when did the name change from Firebird to Firehawk? and what's the difference vs a Trans Am? (my personal fav)

when did the name change from Firebird to Firehawk? and what's the difference vs a Trans Am? (my personal fav)

From what I remember there were 4 models:

Firebird - Lame "castrated" V6
Firebird Formula - V8 without some of the aero mods
Trans Am - V8 with aero and Ram Air
Firehawk - V8 with aero, Ram Air, and a few other power mods.

Also, a long wait was usually involved to get a Firehawk.

I am sure Qikhawk can give more details/corrections.

Actually:

Firebird - Basic V6 version
Firebird Formula - LS1 V8 with 305 hp (Basically a Trans Am without the front/rear bumpers and side skirts...basically a sleeper firebird.
Firebird Formula WS6 - LS1 V8 same as above with Ram Air hood (320hp) and WS6 Package (wheels, exhaust)
Trans Am - LS1 V8 with 305 hp and the styling mods.
Trans Am WS6 - LS1 V8 same as above with Ram Air hood (320hp) and WS6 Package (wheels, exhaust).

The Firehawk Package added different wheels, Integrated Ram Air Hood (instead of four nostrils, only 2 large ones) as well as extractor ports in the hood for heat to escape, and special decals. Available on Trans Am's and Firebirds. I'm not sure if there was a suspension package or not, and I want to say that it made over 330hp but I'm not sure, qikhwk would have to answer that.

I remember the Firehawk made the most hp of them all.

Yea 345 hp in 2002 but everything else is pretty much correct, only real difference between the formula's and the trans am were that the trans am comes powered factory with leather and the formula can come with cloth manual windows and such

yes.. 100 Lt4 firehawks, but even the lt1 style 4th gens didnt. the lt4 Firehawk was a even more limited edition run of the hawk. the lt1/ls1 hawks were apperance and suspension upgrades only:)

Actually I do mean 3rd gen, the 4th gen like mine is 345hp the 3rd gen ones were just insane with how much they threw into it, I just remember watching an old slp video about it. But I could be completely wrong...

OH also the hawk has a different diff as well

not all 3rd gen firehawks had the higher hp..
