Okay, here it is for all the CTS-V owners on the site

I will keep a running list of tuners and modification available and a short story about modification I apply to my personal car.

Hennessey (I know but what your going to say but **** it... here it is). Lots of cool stuff. Looking at their stage 1 or 2

Wait for me Performance ($300 tune good for 50 hp and much better shifting characteristic)

Brake Lines - I think the calipers and rotors are sufficient on this car but the lines and the pads need an upgrade.

I can speak for the wait4me and it's shifting characteristics...it's almost a night and day difference in smoothness and timing.

Pulley, tune, and CAI should net you a gain of 60+rwhp.. I would wait to do headers, you would really throw the warranty out the window if you did the headers.. Everything else is easily reversible..

Talk to Louis (LG Motorsports). A lot of his knowledge modding/tuning the C6 should come into play with your CTS-V.

I may have found a better solution than grinding off the stock pulley.

Are you going to bigger brakes or just lighter weight rotors?

Are you getting ZR1 brakes?

No, I think the brakes themselves are sufficient. They just feel soft. I am going to switch to SS braided lines and use a sticker pad. That should improve the response and feel of the entire system.

Mark and Chris, make sure you do the Turbinator and the CFFG mods with the Nitrogen option. I am sure Scott and Darren can help you. :D

Yeah, that should improve pedal feel, initial bite and brake modulation. (I'm going to do SS brake lines on mine for that reason) If you can get two piece rotors it might be worth it for the reduction in unsprung weight.:thumbsup2:

I was gonna say those ZR1 brakes and rotors should would look good behind those wheels you got.

Of course it was. And when he gets those headers on the other car, he still won't beat Darren, cause at least Darren knows how and when to shift and get traction. :eviltongue:

Remember this, it's all about skill:

nobody knows for sure. They haven't released their "track package" yet.

Last I heard, the track package was on indefinitie hold.:( It was supposed to add 2 piece floating rotors and pads with more bite from what I heard.

This may be why they scratched the two peice system:

The CTS-V, with its captivating contours and unmistakable styling, is the first American motor car to feature the sophisticated engineering of co-cast brake discs made by Brembo. The co-cast disc is a pioneering product designed to combine the braking efficiency of cast iron (used for the disc proper) with the natural lightness of aluminium (used for the hat), and manufactured in one seamless operation thanks to an innovative casting technology.

It seems like Detroit has finally learn to quit letting the tail wag the dog.

DETROIT – Cadillac will offer wireless internet access for its best-selling model, adding a new dimension to the passenger experience. Cadillac Wi-Fi by Autonet Mobile comes to the CTS Sport Sedan in April, giving passengers full internet access in and around the car via their laptop or WiFi device.

The launch of Cadillac WiFi by Autonet Mobile will begin with live demonstrations at the New York International Auto Show April 10-19.

“Consumers today are frequently searching for WiFi access wherever they may be,” said Mark McNabb, North America Vice President, Cadillac. “Adding WiFi is a natural extension of the tech features already inside the CTS, such as a 40 gigabyte hard drive with USB port, a pop-up navigation system featuring real-time traffic and weather forecasts and the exclusive ability to pause and rewind live radio.”

Cadillac WiFi uses technology from Autonet Mobile, the world’s first Internet Service Provider designed exclusively for cars. Cadillac WiFi by Autonet Mobile turns the car into a WiFi hotspot and works with any operating system supporting any Wi-Fi enabled device. It delivers an easy-to-use and seamless internet experience, with 3G mobile technology that maintains internet connections while the car is in motion. The system can support several devices at once, enabling one passenger to update a Facebook page, while another is gaming online or watching YouTube videos, for example.

Designed for use by passengers, the system requires no special software and achieves speeds up to 800Kbps. The dealer-installed option will retail for $499, with a monthly service subscription of $29.

That's cool...Now if they can just get it so that when you pull in the garage it will connect to your home network via WiFi and synch up the music on the hard drive to your iTunes library.:)
