V1 Mirror Install in E90 M3 - keep auto dimming

Thanks to the owner of the M3 for pointing this out to me.. BMW mirrors with a compass have similar glass to what I use and can add the V1 display and keep auto dimming. Who knew? :dontknow:

So did you simply locate the V1 display where the compass was originally and eliminate the compass functionality?

The V1 display is just underneath the compass so keeping it is optional.

So if the compass is off, the V1 will display and if the compass is on, it will look funky when both display at the same time?

Yeah the color of the displays is different so if it were me I'd lose the compass. Whatever works. :)
