Wasn't Siler's original challenge supposed to be in a C 63?

Seems like the sorta stacked the field there... the CTSV has like 100-200 more HP than any of the other cars listed haha. It's telling to see how close the lap times are despite that I think.

I love that the amateurs (M3 & M5) did so well.
The deck was stacked for the CTS-V to win but if it was my event, I'd prefer to know the outcome in advance too!

It is a surprisingly nibble car.

It is a great car, probably the best sedan to ever come out of Detroit. It's a shame that the whole thing was set up as with a decided advantage to the CTS. A real comparison on several random road courses with one or two professional drivers piloting all the various cars that are competing with each other would have been much more interesting.

It is a surprisingly nibble car.

Yes, nibbled at the heels of the M3 all the way around the track. :)

From what I've read they invited amateur drivers in other cars to compete vs pro drivers in the CTSV. I drove Mark's and it's an awesome car.. if any other car manufacturer sponsored the event I'm sure the outcome would be slightly different. :)

I think John Heinricy was their ringer, everyone else was amateur ranking. wtf happened to the M5? It shouldn't have done that bad.

Each driver was to do 5 laps -- 1 warm-up, 3 hot laps, and 1 cool-down to let the brake disks cool evenly, etc. So the lap #1 times for some drivers were 5 min as shown. Not a reflection on the car/driver.

Some pics I shot at the event:
