I am looking to get my windows tinted darker and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to go. I live at tollway and Royal so somewhere close would be helpfull.

I had a very good ceramic tint put on by Earmark, with a lifetime warranty. The metalized ones can screw up many of the radios in our cars. The dealers in town use Earmark. :)

How dark do you want to go? If you want darker than 35%, shoot me a PM.

Anything other than ceramic tint will also mess up a V1's reception.

I went to Tritek and I think they did a great job and are reasonably priced.

Not true......Ceramic films are great but have no privacy. Extruded films are just as good as Ceramic and you can still get as dark as you would like.

I had the windows on my A5 and on my S5 tinted by Pro Tint (http://www.thetintmaster.com/) in Plano (located at Ohio and Plano Pkwy). The tint job was flawless (and I'm quite picky). Claudio, the owner, has been in the tint business for over 15 years and I'd highly recommend his shop.

I've also heard great things about Pro Tint

So an extruded film has no metallic content to it?

Anyone feel free to inspect my tint on the M3, it was done at Tritek and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. Top notch for sure.

Thanks for the advice everybody. I took it to SunMasters this morning off midway and will pick it up after work today. The price was very good and hopefully the quality is the same.

The point of the post was to find somebody to tint my windows.... Well, I did through the member Blake. He recommended sunmaster's in a PM. I Just got it back this afternoon and they did a great job for a really good price.

My coworker knows the owner of Sunmasters and he's gotten his tint done there. Although there is another member on here who didn't have a good experience with them and his Dinan 3.

I personally went with Formula One Pinnacle ceramic tint. I got mine done at Sewell Lexus and they did a great job. Sewell Lexus and Earmark are the only authorized dealers in the Dallas area.

This is Texas, I care more about heat rejection than privacy so ceramic is the way to go.

I used Moonshadow for my M5. They do all of our commercial and residential glass tinting for my glass company. They do a really good job. Give them a try if you want.... Just another option.

Never had a problem with mine. The "dot matrix" area around the perimeter of my rear window and rear side windows turned out great when Pro Tint (http://www.thetintmaster.com/) did my A5 and S5. It's all about getting a good installer who knows what they're doing.

I had 3 cars done at Sun Master. Looks great at first but the film changed from a wonderful dark gray to PURPLE after about 3 years. I took it back and they voided my warranty for having a very light scratch on one of the windows. They didn't care that the film is now PURPLE!!! I only asked them to take it off and don't even have to replace. They asked for $150 to just take it off. I was not happy.

Took it to Tritek and they did the whole thing for a good price. Have not had to get to any warranty issues and it's been a lot longer than 3 years.

I've been debating whether or not to pull the trigger on doing 5% all around, and 50% front windshield.

Anyone know of someone that can write me a prescription just to be on the safe side

I owned a glass tinting company for a few years. I wouldn't recommend this if you plan on driving at night. Very hard to see where you're going w/o a lot of street lights. I have 15% and at present nothing on the windshield.

I agree with scott. I also have 15% on my car and no tint on my front windshield :)
