This week's tip is on how to get wax or polish residue out of the many little nooks and crannies where it always gets stuck when detailing a car. The best think I've found for cleaning out this pesky residue is good old fashioned cheesecloth. A little cheesecloth piece can easily fit into all kinds of little spots like emblems, letters, body panel seams, etc and it literally lifts the dried wax and polish residue out. Becuase of the texture of the cheesecloth, very litttle pressure is needed. Try some for yourself the next time you wax or polish your car!

Mike, great timing.. just waxed my cars and have the "residue" everywhere. Was about to ask about this. Where does one find a cheesecloth? Is that the same as a nastisnatch? :hmmmm2:

Cheesecloth can be found at any local cheese store ;)

Restraunt supply stores. Sur La Table should also have it.

A Brillo Pad seems to work as well.

Brillo pads are way to imprecise... use a screwdriver.
