Member Tranman329 dropped of his recently acquired Porsche 911 Turbo for a full detail to get is looking the way it should. The car was in pretty decent condition with only some swirling and minor scratches/scrapes in the paint. The car was dropped off late Thursday night, so I really didn't get to take any before pictures.

The car was washed, rinsed off with deionized water and allowed to air dry. I did use a blower to remove some water to speed up the drying process. Once dry it was time to clay bar the entire car. After claying, the paint was ready for some Menzerna Super Finish polish applied with a light cutting pad. This combo worked great and cleaned up the defects while also providing a great level of gloss. As this is a light color car, we used a sealant/glaze on it rather than carnauba wax. The resulting protection will last much longer and there is little difference in appearance.

The details are where the car needed some work. The black trim was severely weathered and needed a good cleaning and some careful application of Black Wow to bring it back. The 911 Turbo has a fair amount of black plastic trim (lower part of the front airdam, inside the air ducts, rear apron/diffuser, intercooler vent holes, mirror attachment area, etc.) The exhaust tips looked like they had 2 years worth of carbon build up on them and took some serious working with Nevrdull wadding polish to disolve it all away. The wheels needed some attention, but nothing too bad. Some P21s gel cleaner and a combination of wheel brush and microfiber mitt had them sparkling. The interior was a little dirty, with some stains a few places and the usual dust and crumbs in the hard to reach places. The seats had a lot of stuff way down in the seames that needed to be brushed loose and vacuumed out, but once done, it was nice and clean.

At the customer's request, we also did a full leather treatment using Leatherique. This required applying Rejuvinator oil to the leather surfaces, rubbing it in by hand and then letting the car bake in the sun for the day. After that, the rejuvinator oil had penetrated into the leather and brought all the grime and contaminents to the surface. I cleaned this off using Pristine Clean. The result is soft. supple leather that really looked great!

Once this was finished, we washed down the car again to remove all the dust that had settled on it while baking in the sun and allowed it to air dry. Some post detail pics are posted below.
