oh wow, at first thought a person perished - glad it was just the car. I heard a lot of people have died on the circuit.

A real testament to the M3s commitment to driver safety. The driver was "uninjured." I am like Scott, I think "the driver is still alive" would be a surprise for most.

Here's a pretty spectacular racing incident involving a Z4M during the Koni Challenge at VIR.
I don't know how many of you guys have seen this already, but check out the pics on the link below. This is the crash the Motorsport Technology Group Z4 M coupe had during the Koni Challenge race at VIR earlier this month.
Team owner Steve Marcus had the following comments about the crash:
"Blew out the rear pads, rear caliper pistons then failed and off he went at turn 14 at 158mph! Luckily he walked away unhurt. Now we are looking for a replacement. I was at Mid-Ohio when Joey crashed and that was just as bad. You should see how our car absorbed the impact through the body and suspension with little to no damage to the drivers compartment."

I'd either want to die quickly from it, or walk away w/o a scratch.
Nothing in between.

That guy should go kiss the man who welded that cage.

That is absolutely amazing that he was able to walk away.

Either kiss the guy who welded that cage or never wipe your shoes again!
