Gauging interest in online racing league

Simbin has developed the premier racing simulation software with their GTR PC based gaming series. Darren and I have spent countless hours racing on some of the world's premier race courses and thought it would be fun to get a DFWAC weekly GTR racing league going... pending interest among our members.

In order to participate you will need:

GTR Evolution PC gaming software: http://www.gtr-evolution.com/

and

a Momo Force Feedback Wheel: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/pc_gaming/wheels/devices/320&cl=US,EN

both are likely available at your local Best Buy.

We can easily set up an online racing league where we all compete against each other in races in "real time". I'm thinking a weekly dedicated Sunday evening race (or whenever) would be good.

Please reply if you are interested and we will get this going if enough want to participate.

xbox, ps3, etc.. can't hold a candle to this. Download the demo and check it out - although you will need a wheel (preferably Momo Force Feedback) to fully appreciate it.

I have a Grand Turismo for the PS3... dolby 7.1, HD on 72" screen. I also have the chair with peddles and feedback steering wheel... it will make you pee your pants.

I've done the Grand Turismo on the PS3 with a 60" TV. Totally awesome! I bet 72" is even better with your other goodies. Fortunately, though, I did not pee in my pants. :)

I only play the Wii with my oldest son. I don't think they have any good driving games for that platform, although I could be wrong.

I have Need 4 Speed Pro Street for Wii and it's quite enjoyable. I use my custom E92 M3 as my drift car and a nasty GT500 as my drag car.

I'll get involved with whatever platform most of us agree on. Like Darren, I have them all (PC, Xbox360, PS3 & Wii). I'd prefer using one of the consoles vs the PC since I can put that on the 110" screen in the theater. It makes for quite the immersive experience as Mark stated.

I'm in for PC, but my driving skills need some work. I don't think I can go Dukes of Hazzard style in a racing league. It sure would take you city slickers by suprise though.

I'm on almost every night, we'd like to setup a standing Sunday evening race.. each week a different track and we can keep points for a champion.

I found the game GRID on PS3 to be pretty good... even get to race the 24 hours of Le Mans through day and night... it provided me enough challenge and realism at the same time..
