Hey everyone hows it going? Names Robert, found this site through a link posted by RaceMX-M3 on E46Fanatics. Thought the site looked good so I signed up. I used to have an E46 325i with some work done to it, but in my foolish youth I let it go for an '08 Mazdaspeed3. I wanted factory boost with a cheaper aftermarket. Now I'm doing pretty much everything I can (save going horribly upside down) to get back into an E46. At least I did it while I'm still a youngin so it doesn't kill me that much.

Always been into cars, especially Bimmers, for as long as I can remember. I've worked for Enterprise, Autobahn BMW in Fort Worth, and now the Evil Empire, which I'm trying to escape (they have cookies, its hard). I live over in Colleyville for the moment, but I don't mind driving so I'll try to make some of the meets if you'll have my little ol' Mazda out there. However, I'm not sure when, as I've been told I'm helping a buddy's girl move this Saturday, and then starting next Saturday, I'm taking classes that have a 9-4 class every Saturday in Arlington. But I might try to sneak my way over.

Picture of the Mazda back before the boost leaks, alignment issues, me stopping trying to keep a black car clean, and realizing its faster but no where near as fun as my 325i:

Since this picture, I've yanked the front plate and took off the steal me stickers, and thrown on a set of Mazdaspeed6 OEM wheels. Mods are intake, catback, and high pressure fuel pump. I used to have a catless midpipe and HKS SSQV, which I sold because paying bills>going fast.

And here is a picture of the 325i back when I was in MO for college:

A coworker tried to convince me that the Mazdaspeed3 is a quick car, what will it hang with?

A coworker tried to convince me that the Mazdaspeed3 is a quick car, what will it hang with?

Depends on what's done to it, and what is done to the car its running. When I was stock I could pull pretty easy on the pre '07 350Zs, took out a bunch of S2Ks, mostly mid 14 cars. With the intake and downpipe back, I was able to put about two lengths give or take on a 2004 body style SC'd V6 Mustang, pulled some of the same gen V8s that were stock or just exhaust. The intake and catless midpipe is, with a good driver, good for a low 13.

Does your coworker have a Speed3? What does he have done to it?

I doubt it'll hang with, well, anyone, on this forum. At least mine wont. One of the guys in my Mazda club has a bunch of work done to his (Intake, turboback, manifold, FMIC, CDFP, SSQV, turbo inlet, tuned Cobb AP, some other little things), and his is pretty damn quick.

No he ended up getting a new Lancer. He's an Evo freak, just can't afford one. He loves other cars in that demographic though and I guess the Speed3 fell in there.
