I've done this drive before and can highly recommend it! I believe any car can join -- you dont' have to be a Z. More info is on the web site where you can also register.

Annual Spring Texas Hill Country Z Series Drive (http://www.texas-bmw-z-events.com/)

This spring marks the 12th year for the BMW Z Series Texas Spring Hill Country Drive. The drive will kick off Saturday the 4th. This year will be a rerun of the 2007 route which drew a lot of positive feedback. Hopefully the wild flowers will grace us with their usual glory. Bring plenty of water, sun screen, and your talk-abouts. Don't forget your cameras either!

Friday, April 3:
07:00pm - Meet at Oma's Haus for dinner. Located at 541 S State Hwy 46, New Braunfels.

08:00 - Dinner starts. There is a 55 person limit on the room so seating is first come first served. However, overflow can sit out in the open area of the restaurant. Oma is providing a menu of three items to choose from: Chicken; Sausage Sampler; Schnitzel. We need a count so please indicate at registration how many in your party will be joining us for dinner at Oma's.

Saturday, April 4:
09:00am - Meet at Oma's Haus parking lot at 541 S State Hwy 46, New Braunfels for departure.

12:00 - Lunch is a bring-you-own picnic at Gardner State Park which has a $5 entry fee. Weather permitting.

1:30 - Depart for Kerrville. There will be no formal dinner. You will be on your own to sample the culinary adventures of Kerrville.

Sunday, April 5:
09:00 - Meet at YO Ranch Resort, 2033 Sidney Baker Street (Hwy 16) back parking lot for departure for lunch at Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood.

Karen, you must be on every driving group mailing list in TX. You seem to know about all the get togethers.:)

I guess you could say I get around. :D

Honestly, I think it's because I've lived before in Austin and in the Dallas area. And when I was in Austin, I attended some of the Houston events since they weren't very far away. So while I was living in CT for the past 6 years, I remained on all the mailing lists knowing that someday I'd be back in my favorite state. :)
