Ford GT Returns to Le Mans

Very exciting news for my people.

The Ford will be competing in the GT1 class (#61)

Matech racing (http://www.matech-competition.ch/) will be the be sending their GT1 packaged Ford. I am not a big fan of this bodykit but I sure hope they place well. GO BLUE!!!

The GT Forum actually pooled enough money together to be an active sponsor of the leMans car. I get to have my name on a plaque that rides in the car during the race. I will also have access to buy memorabilia from the car after the race (steering wheel, shifter, wheels, tires, ect...) very exciting for poor old bail bondsman from Texas.

As a side note they are looking at a few female drivers for the team.

Doesn't help if they keep running into other cars... They still are not listed as out, so technically they could get back out for another 3 hours I think.

My BMW's are not doing that hot either. This track is brutal.

P1 car rear ended the remaining GT. Theyhadto replace everybody panel (minus the doors) but they are back out on the track. If the car continues to perform as before they are still contenders.

Ya, looks like saleen is going to walk away with it. As they said, these cars really aren't built for endurance racing, they don't have the backups necessary to keep a car running at this level long enough. Hopefully they use what they learn this year to dominate next year. The cars looked soooo strong the first few hours.

Good point, but I was meaning the car they ran this weekend. If Porsche races the new 918, it will be a new standard.

330 P4 is my favorite... they all made beautiful cars back then.
