And of course, the ubiquitous dyno shot. It's a work in progress, sure would love to get 400whp one day. Need FI kits :D

My current two beasts are in my sig file below, but here is my ULTIMATE beast, the 79 M1 that used to be in my family.

And here is my concours winner 87 M6 that I am still kicking myself for selling a few years ago (only 13K miles on it in 2000!).

Karen why would you sell that?

Yeah, not one of my better decisions. What's that old saying about hindsight? :)

I sold it mainly because there were never any good concours events in the Austin area (where I was living at the time) and the car was just sitting in my garage doing nothing. I hardly drove it because I didn't want to mess it up and I wanted to keep the miles low (I was the 2nd owner & bought it in Calif in 1996 with only 10K miles on it).

When I was in California with the 87 M6, there were tons of opportunities to show it and I won a few events. So after moving to Austin, I sold it to a guy in the Seattle area and then purchased a higher mileage black 88 M6 from Philly that I didn't mind driving more. I was also able to purchase the green monster around the same time (selling the show car equaled the total purchase price of those two). Because of the concours wins and the low mileage on the red 87 M6, I actually sold it in 2000 for more than I paid for it in late 96. :)

Alright guys, we need to be careful what gets posted in public threads that anyone can see. Some member's kids/wives are going to be checking this forum out occassionally and we can't have these kind of pics popping up unexpectedly. Here's what I will do... I will create a hidden forum section that will be accessable only by request. It will be enter at your own risk and you can post anything you want. Give me some time to get it setup and send me a PM if you want access.

Q, here's an example of how to get access:

The Mandarin Orange section is open for business, but restricted to those who request access via PM and are approved. Political correctness, sexual harrassment and any other modern objectionable b/s is restricted. Enter at your own risk. :bandit:

I think they have offsets for the E92 I belive... do you know what your offsets are off hand?

Mine are 19X8.5 35mm front, and 19X9.5 rears on a 40mm. I belive the E46 M has the same front offset but the rears are a 22 I believe.

Don Le at dallassteeringwheel.com

He has a good reputation on various forums and does steering wheels for people all over the country (he probably had 50 steering wheels there when I went by). A steering wheel is actually alot more technical/difficult to recover than a dash so figured I'd take the chance since he did great work on those. He did a great job, there are no wrinkles or any flaws at all and it was much cheaper than I expected. You will probably spend more on labor to remove/install your dash rather than the recover if you can't remove it yourself.

He removed the leather from the stock dash and used the oem padding. If you don't have a leather dash it would probably be a little more as he would need to add some padding (it would look and feel funny over a hard material). By removing the leather instead of going over it everything fit back perfectly like it was oem.
