A customer bought this Mercedes GL from a dealership & paid top dollar for paint protection film installed by someone they use. The customer was disgruntled, did his research and found my website online. He realized that everything that we show as being bad/poor quality installation was right there on his car. The dealership called me and yesterday we removed and re-installed it properly. Here are some close up pictures to show why we hate the fit of any Computer Cut Kit.

It is nearly impossible to not have any working lines in areas such as this, but here's a nice comparison:

Thanks for letting me educate Texas that they don't have to settle for such poor quality installations!

So how do you cut your film? Blade once the film is on the car?

Looks intense BTW. If this was around when I first got my car 7yrs ago, I would have loved to do something like this for it. Now, it's a bit too late for that, lol.

Norm did a full in front of the doors custom wrap on my car in early December (a week after I got it). I just took it in to the dealer for its initial service this week. I stopped by to talk to my salesman and ended up showing him my red background license plates and no drill front plate bracket as well as the wrap. He was so impressed that he had several of the other salesmen come out to look at the car. They were really impressed with the quality of Norm's work.

P.S. - I gave them your name and number Norm.

The film has to be cut on the car, only way to do it right.

Yes, Scott's right, it's the only way to make it look the way it should. Most of my trimming is done about a 1/2 inch out so I can roll the edges wherever possible. When that can't be done, trimming the film is like cutting glass, you score the top of it and then the rest tears away. It does take a surgeon's touch, but that's what I have after doing it for 16 years... :)

Thanks Mike. Speaking of that new film, I just got a small sample in yesterday and it has impressed me so far. Of course, it's not enough even to do a full car, but at least I get to work with it a little. The rep I talked to yesterday said the large format for full hoods is still a ways away unfortunately...:banghead:

I'll be there for sure! I spoke with a gentleman with a bright Yellow Viper today at C&C who looks like will be having me do his entire front end. Full hood, full bumper, & fenders.
