My Drilled Rotors/Slotted are showing minor cracks that don't appear to be very deep on the surface. Is this cause for serious concern? How imparitive is it to get them replaced?

This always happens on cross drilled rotors if your hard on them.. My oem rotors started doing that at 6k miles.. I will replace them when I change the brakes.

so its not gonna brake on me and cause a huge mechanical failure and explodify my car?

An example of what it can grow to, and YES, depending on how severe, it can/will explode under high heat, stress conditions.
I had/have some pictures showing that type of failure as well, resulting from not replacing under spec rotors at brake pad change.
more to follow

This is why you will slotted (only) rotors are the best option for hard core track use.

That picture is off a Lotus of all cars ( " Serious Track Car " )
MY Rs6 has minute cracks coming from the holes as well, after a weekend at the track, I end up replacing them on Monday ( following event ) no matter what...
Stasis is working on an Alcon solution for me, as is Brembo... stopping the Fast Taxi isn't as easy as you'd think.

what a shame they don't make cross drilled and slotted rotors that don't tear up so ez :(

Unless I'm mistaken, the rotors that are cast with the holes in them rather than drilled after the fact are more durable.
