Are you going for the whole event or just one day? Maybe we can organize a group road trip.:thumbsup2:

It's a C5 Corvette with a Lingenfelter C5-R 427 twin turbo package. It has around 1100HP at the crank on their engine dyno. Lingenfelter could only get it to stick on the chasis dyno to around 840rwhp.:burnout:
My big issue is going to be traction.

Hey, let's organize the group road trip for the October Texas Mile. On March 28-29, several of us DFWAC members will be at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX for the BMW CCA / Classic BMW High Performance Driving event. We thought some of you guys would come visit and watch us (or laugh at us!). :)

I'm staying in San Antonio (I wanted garage parking for the GT). I'll be going down on Thursday evening. I plan to attend The Mile on Friday and Saturday. I was hoping Whipple would have their new supercharger out by this date but that will not happen so I am hoping to get in the 190s. We will see.

For those that have been... what should I bring? I assume a helmet is required, but do I need a full race suit? Any other recommendations?
What time should I get there and when does is usually shut down?
Thanks in advance.

A few 2004-2006 GTO's are going to the Mile after Goatfest 5 in Fredericksburg. I am not able to attend the Mile :(

Helmet, Firesuit, Fire Extinguisher, Gloves, Driving Shoes...that's for going more than 190mph. I see a lot of guys simply with a helmet.

The extinguisher is my sticking point. I have no idea where to hard mount it. Not trying to drill the E too much, not that I'd be anywhere near 190...

It can be done.. heavy duty zip ties to the seat frame... heck, I used heavy velcro one year!

Just lay it on the floorboard up against the passenger seat. It's worked for me all 4 times.

Villa's? The nearest Motel in 30 minutes away in Beeville and they're likely booked.
