Pic request: Ford GT's with rollcages or rollbars

Hey Fubar, you seem to have a good collection of Ford GT images. Was wondering if you have any of Ford GT race cars with roll cages or roll bars?

Trying to get some ideas for this GT40 as the Texas Mile tech people are not going to let us run over 190MPH with out a "4 point" roll bar. Seeing that this is a mid engine car, I don't see how you could possibly run a traditional 4 point.

Just trying to figure out some ideas here so that we can run the car. The owner of the car doesn't want to do anything that we can't make removable since there is so little interior room and it would make the car dangerous to drive on the street.

They did not have a problem with us last october. They're reasoning was the car was manufactured to run at speeds greater than 200mph (manufacturers posted top speed of 205). I can't imagine that they would really change that policy but I'll see if Matech or Doran Racing have roll cages for the GT1 series cars.

I think he's talking about a Superformance GT40 replica...not a Ford GT. Like the Cobra replicas, they are 4 wheel death traps.

Oh, I'm sure there are lots of options on that but I don't really know that community.

Correct. Superformance GT40. Modeled after the 1966 GT40. This is the car that inspired the Ford GT.
