hmmm....Interesting find.
Maybe the owner wanted to display the GT's off-roading capabilities in those pics??

Not many of the original 136 or so original GT's (made by FAV) would be any cleaner than this one. Most have been torn to hell & back, had their tubs rebuilt, replaced or repaired, etc... So in 10-20-30 years, even with 4,000 of these being made I doubt that a salvage title or 'bad carfax' would really matter much.

If you PRE-pre ordered you could get a new no option GT at 142,000. The day they hit the floors they were going sticker + 125k. It stay that way for about a year. There are exception to every market tho. 135 is about the going rate for a clean titled, 4k mile car.

i had enlisted the help of a friend at the time whos father owned a dealership to find me an srt10 viper. the gt surfaced in that search. the friend called me and said there is a gt in abilene tx and the owner will let it go for 135 if you want to pick it up. im not into retro designs though im sure its a fine car

I remember the Ford dealership in Laredo, Tx had a red one sitting in their showroom forever.

I lot of the dealers thought they were going to get more than sticker +$125 so they held 'em to long. There are still a few GTs floating around that are MSO. They typically still go for sticker.
