So even I was a little suprised when "Loren" brought out his GT3 P-Car to be in my booth at the recent "Import Faceoff". Now now, you might think this is precisely the type of event that a guy like me should avoid, but in fact that crowd was very laid back and the vast majority of the cars were either there to race or show. In fact, there were several euros, exotics and domestics in attendance.

So Loren who of course is proud of his car surprised me again when he told me he was going to run in an all-motor class at the track there (Dallas Raceway). Sure enough, he did, and did well. His car ended up winning the event in his class and he took home $200 cash and a trophy for the DFWAC. Very cool. Here is a message he sent me:

"I did a little Rice Killing myself. I ran the Red Integra running slicks in the AMS final. He got me by 3 tenths off the light. I was passing him at mid-track and won. I got a trophy and $200, more than enough to pay for those pants I bought at Wally World."

Thanks for lending me one of your members for a day DFWAC. He got a ton of attention and did really well for himself. Cool to see a GT3 on multiple tracks tearing it up, its a testament to how well these cars are built. :adore:

He is the only one who won 1st place in his class?

Did I say anything about being first place? Always so antagonistic you are.

Did I say anything about being first place? Always so antagonistic you are. Right, but I mean that the reason I made a thread was because he won 1st place, and thus represented this forum very well. Although there were other DFWAC members there (I saw you! :thumbsup2:) I was not aware of any notable "representation" to the degree of a 1st place trophy. So I thought a thread was in order.

So what did he run? 11...12 ?

Wow! Your alive! :ciao:

Actually man I believe he was in high 10's? I seem to recall a 10.8 or a 10.9. Either way I was impressed for a guy a a bone stock "track car" (complete with his official Porsche hat!) running that quick, at his first time ever on a drag strip. He was proud to be a "DFWAC Member" so I though you guys would be proud he was proud.

The passes I saw of the GT3 were in the 12's maybe high 11's.
