ummmm.... sitting at preston and plano pkwy in the M5.. kid pulls up in black 135i.. I'm not thinking much.. he jets off like a bat out of hell.. I pull up next to him at next light.. M button pressed, ready for to roll.. light turns green.. kids beats me off line and stays just ahead of me all the way to 70.. all I can say is... didn't see that one coming! Kudos to you mr. 135i!

JB3 135 will do that regularly. I've seen a JB3 135 run a consistent 12 flat 1/4. I couldn't even get close to him, I was running in the 12.8 range at that time. 135's are no joke!

Your M button must programmed to P300, S -1, Sport Off, DSC on full. :dontknow:

The same guy that did the ECU tune on my SRT6 has a 135i that did 377whp / 414wtrq bone stock with a tune on a Dyno Dynamics!!!

Before you can settle a 1 battle, you gotta settle the modified M3 battle ;)

I'm sure you've got me, but you never know.

Quick little buggers they are. Just like most turbo cars, tons of power to be add for little (relative) money.

It gets expensive when they fry those fist-sized turbos a few times. BMW is catching on to these tricks...

I'll give you that one. When I was at Autobahn, we had pulled two 335i engines for frying up the turbos. And BMW keeps releasing software updates to go after the tuner programs.

I'm still waiting for someone to say screw it, pop one of those cute baby turbos (not that mine is any bigger), and toss on some bigger twins. Need to start lurking around E90post like I used to, see if anyone is doing it.

That's my main forum (well, m3post) and I haven't really seen any affordable turbo swaps. The turbos are pretty well built into the engine and it's not as easy as just swapping them out. You'd have to retrofit the whole engine, which we all know gets very expensive. Here's an example (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132250), as you can see, not cheap.

Oh yeah, they are mounted way out of the way for a good swap, thats for sure. They definately need a turbo rotating kit ('least thats what all the Scooby guys call them) to go to a big, or even moderate single. I'm with most of the posters over on E90forums, I'd rather see some twin 28s on a -35i.
