What a start to the 2009 season. BrawnGP is looking very strong. It's amazing what a month can do. Lewis Hamilton looks strong, though, coming all the way from 18th to get third overall. Those Brawn cars look hard to touch at this point though. I'm excited to see how the season turns out. I want a KERS kit for my car ;) :laugh:

I stayed up last night to watch the race, I thought it was quite good. I like the way the cars look with the new front wings, and the KERS seems to make it easier to find passing opportunities in tighter tracks. GO Hamilton!

It was an interesting start. Disappointing for Ferrari, to say the least. I am wondering though, whether other teams held back a bit given the new engine regulations. Perhaps Brawn opted to go all out in this race but at the detriment of their engine, in order to get some recognition/points?

Even so, it was certainly an interesting start to the season. Still...I'm disappointed in Ferrari and BMW-Sauber. Good for Hamilton for placing, I guess...still don't like him lol.

The start was interesting and unfortunate. The end was also unfortunate and although Hamilton drove well, he would not have made it as far up in the positions were it not for a bad pass between Kubica and Vettel.

The Brawn cars look really strong and the reduced downforce makes for some interesting behavior for the cars!

I just saw that. That's crazy.

That's bizarre! I don't recall seeing that happen so I'm guessing there wasn't camera coverage of Hamilton at the time of his pass.

Anybody hear about kimi's KERS malfunctioning? I was watching practice on tivo earlier and they showed a clip of kimi's car smoking up real good during the first practice session. apparently it was a battery failure in the KERS system. I don't think I'd take KERS given the option.

That KERS system is a bit tricky. I saw while watching the Malaysian GP that there is a green light on the car that must be illuminated for the mechanics to be able to touch the car and they also said that in wet conditions like yesterday the drive must not touch the car and the ground at the same time when exiting the car!:eek:

The GP itself was disappointing due the the rain and eventual stop of the race w/o a restart.

I just can't wait to see some live races at a reasonable hour AKA European races.

KERS still sucks, but I want it in my car. :D

Let's see...KERS = 80 BHP for 6 seconds
NOS = 150 - 200 HP for 4 seconds

I think I'll go with NOS, and it's cheaper to boot.:D

BUT you never have to refill KERS....so over the lifetime, probably cheaper. (That is if you don't count the ridiculous upfront cost of KERS. :laugh:)
