Scott, do you pull the display off the V1? or use the remote display? Wouldnt it be simpler to just gut the remote display, that way if you ever wanted to use the full V1 again it wasnt gutted?

I use the Concealed Display and Remote Audio Adapter for the mirror installs. The main V1 unit remains fully intact. Brad's mirror for his Z06 is finished, we just haven't had time to install it yet. I'll try to get with him this week for the install and take some pictures.

i would be interested to see the pics.
also, is there any place to mount the V1 that is easilly accessible? or is it pretty much locked in place once installed?

We haven't settled on a location in the Vette's yet, but it will likely be inside the headliner. It's never "locked" in place but will probably be inconvenient for frequent access.

keep in mind:) that will work on a Z0. but not a coupe since the roof is removable. Unless you are talking about using the headliner in the Halo area.
