I know someone with a STD trans 1971 350 SL euro version for sale. It runs and drives, the guy uses it as a daily driver around town. It does need A LOT of work though, a full restoration really. Needs new floor pans (rust) and the front end needs redoing as it's pretty hairy to drive at speed. Steers in all directions! Being a manual trans makes it one of only about 58 in the country that is known of. It is the hi-compression european V8 3.5L motor. Was brought in as a grey import from what I can tell? (don't quote me though) The owner is tired of keeping it and is comtemplating parting it out but I'm trying to save it from that plight! I would buy it myself but just don't have the time to work on it. It would sit for a long time rotting away before I got to it. If anyone is seriously interested contact me at my email and I'll give you the sellers info and put you in touch with him. (I don't want to be a middle man, just trying to get this car to a good home) By cheap I'm thinking he'll let it go for under $3K, maybe quite a bit less, he's open to reasonable offers in that ballpark.
