IF there's enough willing participants I am going to rent the Eagles Canyon Track for the day with virtually unlimited track time. Please be aware the event will take place during the week, weekend time is $$$$$$. The cost will likely be around $200 per car - the more cars the lower the cost is. If you are interested in participating and if taking a day off during the week isn't an obstacle please reply.

Are you sure you don't want to first try Motorsport Ranch for DFWAC instead of EC? Eagles Canyon is not a very forgiving track if you happen to do a little off-roading. Motorsport Ranch will not beat up your car as much if something like that happens.

+1 . I've heard great things about EC in terms of track layout, but there are things to hit there and it's a bit far for a week-day jaunt for me.

MSR is an option in the future - however I am trying to coordinate this with Classic BMW as part of an event that is already scheduled at ECR on April 28. Although not confirmed at this point it is possible that some of Classic's official track cars will be made available to us at the event. Driving their cars may involve an (optional) additional expense. I will post more definitive info as it becomes available, but wanted to gauge interest so that I will know how to proceed.

I'm there
Hey Scott, How does this work? Do we all run together, in groups of like cars, or do we get individual time slots to run in? I'm interested but trying to feel out the dynamics of this event.

This event will likely be very loosely organized and everyone will probably get as much time on the track as they want. There will def be rules/guidelines to follow but we're likely not going to have enough cars there to have to worry about separating groups. I have a call in to Classic and will post details as soon as I have them.

The date is Tuesday April 28th. I just got off the phone with Classic and it looks like this event will have limited slots available and mostly beginner/novice drivers. I should know in a day or two how many will be able to participate. I am going to work on a separate event as well that will be exclusive to our club.

Are you doing anything to your car for the track event? i.e. wheels/tires/brakes?
