I've been wanting a lift for my work for a while now.

But, I need it to be like an alignment rack, where you drive up on it, & lifts the car by the tires, not the frame. AND most importantly, no posts to get in the way. I need to be able to work on the bumper, rockers, rear etc of the car, without stuff in the way.

This is close to perfect for my needs, but I'd like to get it for closer to $3000, so does anyone have ideas on finding equipment like this used, like from a shop going out of business, etc?

If you need something like an alignment rack, why not just purchase an alignment rack, then you could expand your business to do race alignments as well. Hell pick up some scales and do corner balancing while your at it. :D
