Any of the Bimmer owners in here upgraded their gear yet? Talking bout new head unit, speakers and subs in trunk? I'd like to see and if possible hear what you guys got out there. In the process of finalizing my entire system in The Tomato but undecided on components or passive X-overs and keeping factory speakers.

Thx in Advance!

I don't have a speaker upgrade, but I have been in a car that had the BSW kit in it. Sounded great. Plus you get to keep your stock head unit so your car doesnt look like hacked together crap.

Cool thx for the input. I know another member on here ordered the same speakers for an E90 M3 but has yet to install them. I've already replaced the stock head unit and due to all the setting and X-overs in new radio it definitely cleaned up the mids and highs plus gave me lots more volume. The more I tweak the new head unit the better the stock speakers sound. From previous systems I knew that I had to replace the factory stereo for better overall SQ. In bass dept the Tomato can go from subtle for when the wife is with me to full out high impact concert SPL to make your nose tickle. Gotta thank the Audio Control processors for that :)

...in the southwest forum. There's more of those cars around (plenty in the DFW Metroplex) compared to M3's and maybe an owner group more inclined to do extensive audio mods.
