Paint the front clip and blend it back..? That's what I'm going to do before I bra mine.

That is what I had to do with mine. If you don't fill all of the chips even with the paint surface, you will still see a small bubble in the bra. Norm at Invisibra did my bra and it is amazing! If you have not seen his work, I would recommend that you do prior to getting a bra installed.

OH trust me, the only one putting lingerie on my car will be Norm :thumbsup2:

not enough chips to warrant that...i might try and just fill it in with touch up paint

If filling yourself, get a Lankga or similar kit so you can fill the chips, and then blend them smooth to the surface. One word of caution though...If you have metallic paint, a touch up process will never match the factory paint. You can't get the metallic flakes to lay the same with a brush or touch-up pen as they do when sprayed.

Did you find anyone to touch up the rock chips or can you recommend someone? My Brother In Law asked this evening if I knew anyone to touch up a few rock chips on his S500. Any feedback would be appreciated.

There really isn't an easy fix for rock chips. You can have the bumper/hood touched up but if you're like me you will know it's there. Just have it repainted and restored to like new condition, get a clear bra and next time you buy a new car make sure your first stop is Invisibra so you don't have to worry about this again. :thumbsup2:

also ask Norm about how to get the car re-painted before he protects it - he had some interesting things to say about that.

What color is the S500?

While a repaint would be the easiest solution, if the car is a non metallic black, it can be done with a touch up/blending approach with very good results. The amount of time required to do so will depend on the severity of the road rash/# of chips. If you can send me or post up some good pics, I can give you an idea how much time would be involved. The benefit to repair over repaint is that when selling the car, there will not be a paint thickness difference to reduce the value of the car.
