Put an order on a V1 last week, should be coming sometime this week. I'd love to get this hardwired - I'm not 100% positive there's someone on here who can do it, but would someone at least be able to reccomend a person who would be willing to do this for me?

It's really easy to do. A quick search on google will return detailed instructions. I'm happy to help you do it as well.

Thanks very much, went ahead and Googled it and just ended up ordering an Invisicord after reading around on it.

I looked at this Invisicord and I don't get it???? Your V1 unit will arrive with a direct wire already in the box (at least all three of mine did) - what's the point of paying more money for something you don't need:questionmark:

Wiring Harness Connector Item 20310 and the Direct-Wire Power Adapter Item 20305
Directions to hardwire From the V1 manual:
INSTALLATION: Direct-wire Power Adapter
An adapter has been provided so that you can wire
Valentine One directly into your car’s electrical system.
If you are unfamiliar with automotive electrical systems,
see a mechanic or car-stereo installer:
1. Valentine One works only with negative ground
electrical systems. If your car is old, or is an unusual
brand of import, make sure it’s negative ground.
2. Select a “switched” wire, i.e., one that’s off when the
ignition is switched off, and has 12 volts when the
ignition is switched on.
3. Position wiring-harness connector around “switched”
wire and squeeze with pliers to install.
4. Plug red wire from Direct-wire Power Adapter into
wiring-harness connector.
5. Make ground connection by clamping the end of the
black wire under any grounded screw.
6. Plug power cord from Valentine One into the modular
jack labeled “Main Unit” on the Direct-wire Power
Adapter.

I'm shopping for a DD right now and would like to hardwire it in that car as well - so eventually I'll have to pick up a new cord sooner or later. Most of the C6 guys who have it hardwired just went with the Invisicord since it takes all of 5 minutes to install (and puts it exactly where I want to put mine.)

Installed the thing last night in maybe 2 minutes, tops. This thing is AWESOME. Mike Valentine is my hero.
