View Full Version : Saying goodbye to the Scud!

It went on the trailer yesterday and is in route to Fabspeed for some custom exhaust work and tuning ;)

They are ripping out the stock muffler and fabricating an xpipe config with 70mm resonators.. they are also swapping out the cats for some straight pipes..

The owner of http://www.evomsit.com is gonna be there to do some custom tuning on her as well!

And to top it all off, they are taking it out to the track for some testing with a bunch of other cars and they are going to have European Car magazine out there to do a writeup and photoshoot..

Also, they are now at 491 to the wheels before installing the xpipe.. so since it's been there, they have squeezed out an extra 40hp to the wheels ;)
They install the new pipes tomorrow.. so we will see how much more they can make.

Awesome! I hope they gave you a discount for puttiing the fabspeed decal on the top of the windshield and using your car for advertising.

Also, did they baseline dyno it so you can compare apples to apples?

Let's just they made it worth my while to ship it all the way to Pennsylvania ;)

We certainly have baseline numbers.. The gains have been significant.. To put it in perspective, we are almost putting the same power to the wheels than a stock motor puts out at the crank..

Damn Rick, I will keep an eye out for the article in european car. Might need ear plugs for my next ride.. when we ran Brad's Z06 the sound off the walls was almost deafening.

+1 on that...The Scud on full boil will kill off some hearing, but I'm not planning on being 90+ and deaf either!:D

Well, the final number is 502! They also picked up over 30hp down between 2500-3500rpm.
Car is being picked up on Monday!!
Can't wait to drive this bad boy!

haha, yeah, it arrived around 7pm on Friday.. unfortunately, I probably had enough fuel to go a few miles.. I called around everywhere looking for fuel on Saturday to no avail. Calling Francis tomorrow morning for a drum of yummy VP race fuel ;)

Did it arrive??? Maybe there are no updates from Rick cause he's been driving it non-stop since it arrived...:driver:
