Hi everyone I am new to the club...has lived in the DFW area since 1985.

I have been looking toward a M5 and finally got the seal of approval from the "Parole Officer" (wife) :hahaha:

Under one condition...she drives the car.

Even with the M button not getting pushed the car still a beast, beside that I am worry about her driving with the SMG.

I am very hesistant about this...but she want a bimmer too.

Your thoughts?

Thanks

I had the car for two years - when my wife drove it she left it in p400 and drove in auto shift mode. Go test drive one.

The new M3 is a great alternative though. The new DCT is amazing. M5's are nice though.

My wife's daily driver is a Mini. She has absolutely no problems with the M5, SMG S mode and the M mode are fair game for her too! Don't hesitate you will love the car, if she let's you drive it :hahaha:

Being chauffeured around, on occasion, by a pretty girl in an M5 has it upsides too. Go for it.
