I bought these tires used hoping they would fit my A6 and offset the extremely low gearing that resulted from the 6-speed swap. Unfortunately, after mounting them to my wheels, I realized they are too tall and rub the spindles, so I can't run them without spacers. Since then, they have remained in air conditioned storage (the guest room at home). Rather than drop $200+ on the appropriate spacers and bolts only to find the tires wouldn't fit for another unforeseen reason, I just ordered a different set of tires.
The tires have 80% tread remaining (8/32"; new ones come with 10/32") and totally even and consistent wear across all four. They have no plugs, patches, bubbles, gashes, feathering, cupping, irregular wear, or cracking. They will work well on later model cars that tend to run taller tires. I've posted them for $500 on Craigslist, and will offer them for $400 only to forum users who were members at the time of this post.
