I talked to Cobb Tuning in Plano and they said they would be interested in hosting a group Dyno event at their new facility. Group pricing would run somwhere in the ball park of $70-$100 for 3 pulls on their AWD Mustang Dyno. The dyno is rated to do 800whp

Anyone interested in having a dyno event this Saturday?

Should be no more than $75--and I would expect lower for a group "dyno day". I need a new dyno done, but really want to go to a dynojet for better comparison to my pre cams dyno.

Thats the price I would expect to pay if I randomly showed up somewhere...I know times are hard for Cobb, but damn, I went to a dyno day at Steve Kan's, and it was $30 for three pulls with A/F. Besides, I'm not sure if Mazdaspeed3 owners are allowed to go to Cobb anymore.

Auotscope did it for 4 free.

I would like to go to the Cobb Shop though.

I have been meaning to check it out.

I went to Corvettes of Dallas last year and they did it for $39 for 3 pulls with A/F. They use a dynojet and I am sure they would love to host a group dyno day.

I went to the grand opening event Cobb had and the shop is much smaller than I expected.

I agree with Rob, $75-100 is high for a dyno day. $30-50 is more reasonable. I hope one of these leads works out, I have been dying to run my IS.

That was a fun day, tons of nice cars, but yeah, the place is just...tiny. Its more like just a place for them, and the occasional car to come through. One dyno, one lift, and one alignment machine, if memory serves me right. None the less, if you do set one up, I'd go out just to watch. No need to dyno my slow car...

I'd be down for a dyno day sometime soon. I'd love to see what my car makes!

If you think Cobb is tiny you never went to Gotham. Cobb looks palatial (in both size and opulence) compared to Gotham.

That said, $35 vs. $75 = no brainer (although I prefer to not have to pee on a dumpster like at Gotham).

The new Gotham shop is fine in size...its just packed with FDs with turbos the size of a small country. Had a dyno day there, almost exclusively Evos and STIs, with myself and another Speed3er. Some guy with the Ram SRT-10 with nitrous wanted to check it out, but his truck was longer than the dyno.

Did they move again? I was there in November of last year with the 3000gt club. Maybe it just felt cramped because of all the people and stuff. It's still 1/4 the size of Cobb's work area.

Nah, it was most likely in the same place that I was at. I remember it being much bigger than Cobb, it just feels cramped because of the number of cars they have in there. I can distinctly remember at least three lifts, plus the dyno, the office, and there being a ton of cars in the shop. All the pics of the place were on my iPhone, which is long gone.
