Finally getting around to a build thread for my M3.
I've been super busy and haven't had much time to focus on my car. It's been in pieces for a while now. I've been tinkering on it here and there over the last few weeks and spent a few hours today scrubbing and power washing the undercarriage. Along with my new HPF Turbo kit my goal is to restore my car to showroom new condition - and there will be a few other goodies added. Currently on the list..
Fully disassemble car as much as needed to properly clean and restore to like new condition
Repair or replace (as needed) everything on the car that shows any sign of wear, including nuts, bolts, covers, shields, insulation, etc....
Stoptech Brakes will be repainted and clear coated, all other hardware replaced.
RAC Wheels refinished to new condition
New Windshield
CSL Carbon Fiber Roof
Custom Steering Wheel Cover
Custom Car PC System
Custom Interior including *like new* seats
Oversized Radiator
More to come...
I have a lot more work left but the cleanup phase is well underway

Thanks, my motor is getting sleeved and then HPF will rebuild it. No eta at the moment.

I really wanted to but just couldn't find a reasonable way to do it. I bought a set of gray seats off a M3 with 10k miles to replace mine.

More pics... I spent about 8 hours over the last two days detailing the (rear) underside of my car. There's no end to the dirt, grease and grime.

Scott, you should make some belly pans for the bottom of the M3. I bet it wouldn't be that hard and it might keep all that stuff clean. It's been known to help with aerodynamics too. I bet you'd get a bunch of check happy M3 owners to pony up for that.

I have definitely considered this.. it would be so awesome, full carbon fiber front to back. :)
Any pics of the belly pan on the GT?

VRS out of Japan makes a full carbon belly pan with integrated front and rear diffusers. It is very sexy. But ya... a ton of money.

oh wow, that is too cool. I'm thinking the front section would have to be modified to clear the turbo and charge pipe.

Yep, the front panel slots into their front lip, which looks much like the csl style spats, but with a 2in flat diffuser on the bottom. Would need to cut a slot out for the charge pipe to come through on the front section. I believe you can get it sourced as a kit for the whole car, or buy each section individually. Before I went for the HPF kit, I was looking into doing a full CSL conversion, with this front lip, belly pan, and rear diffuser set up. For the full set in dry vacuum bagged carbon, sourced through Bulletproof Auto I think they wanted around 5k. That included the front lip, 4 section belly pan, and the rear diffuser with the center rear bumper section all in carbon. I think only like one other car in the states has this setup currently, I have seen photos on one of the forums of the car up on a lift, and it is gorgeous, I can't seem to find them now... hurm
