My Dad has me looking for a Cayenne hybrid out here. Does anybody know when they will arrive and who, at what dealer to give me the best deal on one?

Personaly, talk with Mike Marsh at BW. As for delivery on the hybrid I don't have a clue though the new Cayenne is really nice.

As you know, Cole knows more. I know of a couple on the boat ready to get a new home. I was offered one already. I think they are really close. Who is that Mike Marsh guy?

I didn't know Porsche had a hybrid in the works, does it come with a free pair of Birkenstocks?

I can't help but laugh at that one. I think the hybrid is silly for them to, but Birkenstocks?
Do all Porsche guys wear em?

I agree. The best bet would be a Diesel purchase. I have a friend with a TDi car and he gets north of 40 mpg's without much effort. With a motor that will last to the dawn of time. Right now, there is a 1 year wait on a Porsche Cayenne diesel in Europe, and they will be GOLD when they come to the USA.

Wife's 06 Jetta TDi best mileage on trip @ 70 MPH cruise was 54.9 MPG.
Car is @ 93K with No issues other than factory nav but was replaced under warranty. We take it everywhere and leave Bimmer at home due to impressive gas mileage. Without watching how we drive it, it still easily gets 47+ MPG however I run the tire pressure at 43 PSI. At 120 MPH sustainded on back roads to Marble Falls the dang thing still was doing 37 MPG.
:) Go Diesel

I have a good friend with one of the older Jetta TDi models and he loves it for the mileage. He even has the manual transmission. I guess that makes it feel sportier than it is really is.

My dad's daily is an 09 Jetta TDI.. I took delivery for him here in Dallas and drove it around for a couple months.. I averaged 40+ in the city beating the snot out of it.. Very impressive car, good pick up too with the dual clutch 6spd trans.

^^^Wife's second TDi vehicle and she loves it. The more miles your dad puts on the car the better MPG he will get. Taking our Jett on 16 hour road trip next month will see what average MPG it gets. Will post up pics here as proof :)
