I hear a lot (Corvette Forums) about the exhaust valves dropping on the LS7's and thus many have swapped them out for SS solid valves along with upgraded springs. Is this really a common issue and would you recommend doing the preventative work, or is this something that is just blown out of proportion? TIA.

What has your experience been like with this Taylor?

I believe Taylor is out of the country until next week, just FYI.

You should also consider having the harland sharp upgrade on the rockers...:thumbsup2:

Have there been any stock rocker failures?

Even though I'm sure I got questionable advice on my Z06, the rockers were never suggested as an item I needed to replace.

Exhaust valve problems only seem to happen to Z's seeing extended high RPM duty (hard road racing or similar). I wouldn't be too worried about it, especially in stock form.

There were some issues with the needle bearings coming out of the early Z06's but it's not super common either. Harland Sharp offers a re-bearing service that is good but about the cost of a new set of rockers.

Louis' swapped out my exhaust valves for solid ss when doing the cam. I wouldn't bother as preventative maintenance but if you already have the heads off I'd say its worth the small additional cost.

Yes. My friend Adam's went kaput in a big way...

Although, to be fair, it's unlikely many in this thread are as hard on their cars as he is.
