This was on Hankook ventus v4 es tires

I am wondering if the guy who sold me my rx7 jacked me or not he said it did 11.2 1/4 mile without the use of Nitrous... but my first time 1/8th mileing i did 8.191 and 1.923 0-60 foot @87.59 mph im starting to doubt that the said hp of 320-350 rwhp was off or wrong.... but that was my first time drag racing and yeah... it was with street tires too i should be able to get a 7.5 sec 1/8th mile time with drag radials i believe and my psi on my tires were setup for 34.5 psi

so what you guys think? did the original owner of my car do a 11.2 1/4 mile with a 1.8 sec 0-60 foot on drag radials? ill try for hoosier r6's this weekend and go for 7.6 sec 1/8th mile

C6Z's that i have seen run 11.2's in the 1/4 get low 7's or high 6's in the 8th.

im guessing your times will be in the mid 12's

If you drove the same car I drive, I could probably give you a good answer. I'm not real sure, but I can tell you that it would be pretty difficult to go from an 8.19 to an 11.2 in the quarter. Fortunately, there are tons of runs logged on dragtimes.com (http://dragtimes.com/). You can look at similar 60', 330', 1/8, etc times and mods and get a pretty good idea of what you need to run a certain time.

My fastest ever 1/8 mile time was an 8.266 @ 86.050 on Hankook Ventus V12 evo tires. This was also my fastest 1/4 mile run, 12.8 @ 105.41. Based on your time, I'm guessing you'd be in the 12.5-12.6 range in the quarter? :dontknow: It may take you a few times at the track to get your launch technique and shifting dialed in.

What track are you going to?

The car could still be capable of 11.2. Drag racing is all about setup. I wouldn't really get worked up trying to extrapolate your results.

im going to kennedale this weekend also but i think i can get in the 11's atleast... and imma get my car tuned its untuned right now.... so that should pick me up like 20 rwhp im guessing which could lead to mid 11's im guessing someone at the track said drag radials will probably pickup a 0.5 sec off my eighth mile so im guessing its possible to get into mid 11's

Having maybe 50 passes, I only qualify as a noob but I would say forget the 1/8 and get your money's worth at a 1/4 mile track. You don't say how much the car weighs but if you're at 2,850 pounds or so and all the stars are in alignment, you've got a shot at 11.2. Just don't feel obligated to put money on it just yet.

Cool, good luck! You can speculate all day long, but it's best to just get out there and see what it can do :driver:

yeah what gets me is that the original owner of my car said he got a 1.8 0-60foot on his 11.2 run and i got 1.9 0-60 foot with street tires so im guessing i can get 1.8 with slicks

Speculation is just speculation. You can't assume that because the other guy did something you can replicate it. Run the 1/4, I don't know many people that really care about 1/8 mile times too much.

I ran a 7.0 @ 112 with 250 less rwhp and 350 less rwtq... Not sure what it would run now.. Probably fast enough to break a whole lot of ****.
